15th Annual Health Fair

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omicron Iota Omega Chapter, will host its 15th Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Roy Neal Shelling, Sr. Elementary School in Monroe, Louisiana. In keeping with this year's theme: "Exemplifying Excellence in Healthcare and Wellness," a variety of health and wellness screenings will be offered to the public at no cost. These services will include eye exams, dental consults, diabetic screening, bone density screening, blood pressure and cholesterol checks, as well as weight, height, and BMI checks. Other on-site resources will include prescription medication counseling, mental health counseling, asthma education, diabetes and stroke prevention education. In addition, this year's event will feature a Men's Health Forum led by Dr. Thomas Williams and the Life Share mobile blood donation center. Arrive early and complete your "health passport" for a chance to win a $100 gift card. One lucky boy and girl will win a new bicycle! Meals and healthy snacks will be served.
