The workshop goals include recognition, prevention, and preparedness training for active shooter incidents with an emphasis on emergency action plan development. Following the National Preparedness Mission Areas and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Comprehensive Preparedness Guidance, expert instructors utilize slide presentations, training videos, and facilitated discussions to share information on how to structure and develop an emergency action plan utilizing best practices.
