Rad Trascher grew up in Monroe, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In 2004, Rad began work at the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Louisiana. As Assistant Director he was responsible for chapter development and fundraising in many cities throughout the state. His duties were to build valuable lasting relationships while increasing membership and fundraising dollars. In 2007, he was promoted to Director of Development where he oversees marketing and fundraising for the state operations. His primary focus is to increase major gifts and create new and innovative ways to drive membership in order to fulfill CCA’s mission. In 2011, STAR Tournament Director was added to his duties. This event has over 10,000 participants and distributes over $500,000 in prizes. Before arriving back in South Louisiana to work with CCA, Rad served as a Marketing Manager for Brown and Williamson Tobacco throughout the Southeast United States.
Through his work at CCA Louisiana, Rad has served on numerous conservation and fishing advisory panels and is a recent graduate of the Delta Leadership Institute hosted by the Delta Regional Authority, a federally mandated group organized to improve the lives of the residents of the Mississippi River Delta. Recently he was one of 22 people from around the country chosen to serve on the United States Department of Commerce Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee’s Recreational Fisheries Working Group.
