Honor Veterans Day at Chennault Aviation & Military Museum
On Monday, Nov. 9, Chennault Aviation & Military Museum is honoring Veterans Day with a series of
events.
The museum will open at 9 a.m., and will be open for tours during the day.
Free refreshments will be available all day, and Super1 Foods will provide gumbo and an assortment of other snacks beginning at 3:30 p.m.
At 5 p.m., a special ceremony will be held in honor of all veterans. Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D. will be speaking.
Immediately after the ceremony, the five Freedom Trees will be illuminated. Each tree represents a different branch of the U.S. armed forces. The trees are decorated with ornaments donated by the community. Each ornament honors an individual veteran with a photo, patch, ribbon or other memento of
his or her military service.
