Event Description:
Louisiana Delta Community College Foundation’s Hats and Horses is a fundraiser that raises money for scholarships that will assist LDCC students in short-term and long-term programs. Enjoy a mint julep or your favorite beverage, savor the most elegant hors d’oeuvres , vote on your favorite horse with a donation, indulge in the whiskey pull and silent auction. Live music will echo through the campus, while you pause for a moment with your date at the portrait station. Ladies, no Kentucky Derby event is complete without the proper attire. It’s time to pull out all the stops as you acquire or create from scratch your most elegant, yet outrageous and charming hat to be judged in the hat contest. Prizes will be awarded, so don’t miss out on this unique contest.
