Event Description:
We're going out with a bang at our 2023 Season Finale with Alexey Marti and his band on 10/27, 7-9pm! Originally from Havana, Cuba, Alexey began playing congas at age 7 and was mentored by Cuban Maestro Oscar Valdes. Alexey now lives in New Orleans and has been New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival featured artist since 2009. He can also be seen regularly at the famed Snug Harbor New Orleans Jazz Bistro on Frenchman Street. He won first place in Thelonious Monk Jazz Institute's Latin Hand-drumming Competition. He also won the New Orleans Big Easy Music Award in Latin and World for Best Performer. Free show!!
Albritton Photography will be on-site taking free professional portrait photographs with a new toy donation for the West Monroe Fire Department's Holiday Toy Drive. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Most Creative Costume!
