Event Description:
“Water Sweep” is an award winning event that encourages groups and individuals to help us clean the scenic Ouachita River and shoreline.
Staging sites for the event will be at Lazarre Point Beach, Forsythe Boat Launch, Moon Lake Recreation Area, ULM/Bayou DeSiard, Bawcomville Recreation Area, Black Bayou NWR and Sterlington Recreation Area.
For this event to be successful we need your help.
Volunteers are needed to participate for just a few hours. Boaters are needed to provide transportation for participants. Each and every person can make a difference.
If you want to organize a cleanup in another body of water in Ouachita Parish please let us know and we will work with you to help out.
