PAR Webinar - Rethinking Workforce Development

The Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana will host its next webinar, Rethinking Workforce Development, on Aug. 27 at 11 a.m.

PAR’s webinar will feature Louisiana Workforce Commission Secretary Susana Schowen and Rep. Stephanie Berault, who sponsored the legislation that renames the department and transfers additional workforce development and social services programs to the agency. 

They'll discuss the state's ongoing worker training initiatives, the government reorganization plans and the effort to match Louisiana residents to available jobs that businesses need to fill.
