Sacred Vessels, Artist's Reception: Lynda Frese & Babette Beaullieu at LEVEE GALLERY Thursday, October 18, 4-7pm Lynda Frese layers pigments collected from around the world & combines them with egg tempera, images & photographs of ancient sites & the natural world. Babette Beaullieu is an interdisciplinary sculptor whose organic sculptures have a visceral quality that is minimalistic influenced by Zen Philosophy. On view through late November. Levee Gallery specializes in contemporary artwork created by emerging and established regional artists. The gallery also hosts events with the goal of broadening the understanding and appreciation of visual arts and culture. Kathy Biedenharn, the owner, and Brooke Cassady, curator, aim to connect visual arts to other organizations and within the community. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated.
