ScoutStrong 5K Run/Walk and
One Mile Kids Fun Run Announced
The Louisiana Purchase Council, Boy Scouts of America announces the inaugural ScoutStrong 5K run/walk and One Mile Kids fun run to take place Saturday, September 14th starting at Forsythe Park in Monroe. Entry fee is $20 per person by September 2 and $25 through race day. Entry fee includes a t-shirt.
The 5K race will begin at 8:00 a.m., 5K walk at 8:15 a.m. and One Mile Kids fun run (Ages 10 and under) at 9:15 a.m. Awards will be given for 1st through 3rd in the fun run and 1st and 2nd by age divisions in the 5K run and walk. Along with the road races, a climbing wall and activity booths will be set up in Forsythe Park for families to enjoy.
100% of the proceeds will go to Louisiana Purchase Council, Boy Scouts of America to develop youth programming in 20 parishes in northeast and central Louisiana (including the Delta Region). The Louisiana Purchase Council?s Mission is to serve others by helping instill values in young people and in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.
