City of West Monroe approves Sunday alcohol sales
WEST MONROE – The City of West Monroe Board of Aldermen voted at the November 13 meeting to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays.
The approved ordinance, which adopted the same provisions as the one recently passed by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, will take effect immediately. The ordinance allows the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. Alcoholic beverages are now allowed to be sold on Sundays in licensed grocery stores, convenience stores and package liquor stores.
In addition, licensed restaurants will now be able to serve all types of alcoholic beverages to customers on Sundays between noon and 10 p.m.
